What Is the Bookmarks Tool?

The bookmarks tool on Tonmly lets you save pages you want to return to later. It’s a clean, privacy-friendly, ad-free place to keep your links—now organized with Lists, Tags, and optional Sites for grouping related links.

Everything is searchable from your dashboard and accessible across devices.

Organizing Your Bookmarks

Lists

Create as many lists as you like (e.g., Work, Personal, Research, Shopping). Drag and drop bookmarks to reorder within a list. Lists are private by default; you can optionally create a share link for read-only access.

Tags

Add one or more tags to any bookmark to make filtering fast (try topic tags like design, docs, news).

Notes

Use notes to capture context—why you saved the link, credentials hints, or next steps.

Everything is searchable: title, URL, tags, notes, and list names.

Bookmark Sites

Bookmark Sites lets you save an entire website (e.g., example.com) with its favicon, a friendly title, and notes. You can then attach multiple related links beneath that site—perfect for grouping docs, dashboards, or articles from the same domain.

  1. Go to Bookmarks » Sites
  2. Click Add Site, enter the root URL (we’ll auto-fetch favicon/title when possible)
  3. Add optional notes and click Save
  4. Attach existing bookmarks or create new ones under the site
Pro tip: Use Sites for tools you visit often (analytics, CMS, docs) and keep their key pages grouped together.

Import & Export

Bring your existing bookmarks into Tonmly or create backups.

  • Import: Upload a CSV or browser export; we’ll auto-map columns where possible.
  • Deduplication: Identical URLs are grouped for quick review so you can keep, merge, or remove duplicates.
  • Export: Download your bookmarks as CSV for use elsewhere.

Alternative: Bookmarklet

No extensions? Use our bookmarklet from the top of your Bookmarks dashboard—drag it to your bookmarks bar for one-click saving from any page.
